Variations can be made by adding shrimp, ground pork or beef, or tokwa (bean curd). It is wrapped with a spring roll wrapper and finished it in the form of a mini log. It is deep-fried until the wrappers turn golden brown. A vinegar-based sauce is usually served for dipping.
